Hi, my name is Thomas Christopher Whitehouse, I am Thanos Art + Design with a little help from my fiancee Nicola.
I have always been in love with anything creative and I knew from a young age that all I wanted to do in my life was to design, draw and create.
My art education has been stop and start for a number of years! I studied art and design in Sixth form at Afon Taf high school in Troedyrhiw, Merthyr Tydfil. From there I then went on to study art foundation at UWIC in Cardiff, I found that the course was not for me, it was to much fine art and not enough foucus on other styles. I left UWIC after a number of months and returned to Merthyr to work in The Link. later the same year I went for an interview to attend the art foundation course in GCADT in Treforrest, the time I spent there was fantastic. I gained so much knowlage and extra skills, it just show that the right atmosphere and the right tutors make a massive difference. Although nearing the end of my foundation I was forced to quit and start work again. I settled into a job just to build my self a solid foundation so I was able to concentrate on my art work.
Two years went by and I had done a little work but I had created a character called Morgan the Thanyob. I fee that all my current work has been driven from from this. I created a series of characters called thanyob who you can visit by clicking here.
